Jeffrey Wright, known for his recent Oscar-nominated role in 'American Fiction,' has been confirmed to join the cast of the upcoming film 'High and Low.' This new project is a modern retelling of the classic thriller by Akira Kurosawa and is set to be directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Spike Lee. The star-studded cast will also feature the legendary Denzel Washington in a leading role.
The script for 'High and Low' has been penned by Lee and Alan Fox, promising an exciting English-language adaptation of the original story, which revolves around a wealthy man grappling with a kidnapping. Production for this Apple Original Film is scheduled to commence this month, with a theatrical release by A24 before its global launch on Apple TV+.
In addition to Washington and Wright, the cast includes Ilfenesh Hadera, known for her work on 'Billions.'
