Palm Beach Pete, the Florida man whose face closely resembles the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, has shared his perspective on the public attention surrounding his likeness. This time, he mentioned something that did not escape the public eye.
According to TMZ, he has no plans to change his appearance. In a statement to the outlet, Pete described himself as 'a better-looking version' of Epstein and said his life experiences are entirely separate from the disgraced financier.
While many have compared Pete to Epstein due to their similar features, Pete has clarified that any connection is purely physical. 'I'm not gonna change this. This guy is dead, and he was a really bad person, and I can hold my head high. I didn't do anything. I just happened to have similar looks,' he explained.
Pete's resemblance has occasionally led to online harassment and speculation, particularly on social media platforms where users circulate images comparing the two. There were even posts on conspiracy communities, believing they were the same person.

Despite this, Pete insists his life choices and actions have been independent of Epstein's.
Did Palm Beach Pete Meet Jeffrey Epstein?
But there's another bizarre thing about his connection with Epstein.
In his interviews, Pete recounted attending social events with Epstein, without implying involvement in any criminal activity. The gatherings reportedly involved high-profile figures from finance and entertainment, but Pete emphasised he was simply a social attendee.

Pete says he will not be changing his appearance because he is "a better-looking version than Jeffrey."

In the community note on X, it's been debunked that the two personally met when Epstein was alive, and it only means both were likely at similar parties.
Epstein's presence at Palm Beach events was well documented; he moved in the same circles as other influential people, attended parties, and socialised among Florida's affluent elite. However, publicly available records do not support the idea that every attendee at those events had a personal or ongoing relationship with him.
Social Media Reacts to Palm Beach Bete's Party Claims
Unfortunately for Pete, his claims that he once attended parties with Epstein only fueled skepticism about his identity.
There were comments saying, 'Epstein is hiding in plain sight.' and Something is off about this guy. Showing up out of nowhere and claiming to be "Palm Beach Pete" from Florida sounds like the kind of villainous stuff Epstein would do.'
Some went so far as to say that the two are the same. 'Plot twist: Palm Beach Pete IS Epstein... just got better plastic surgery and a rebrand 😂'
Several commenters were also unimpressed with the fact that he made the claim so lightly, knowing Epstein's crimes were massively heavy. 'Saying you partied with Epstein and then turning it into a comment about who looks better is unbelievably tone-deaf. Some things are far too serious for that kind of response.'
Despite fueling further rumours about his connection to Epstein, Pete appears to be bent on distancing himself from the disgraced financier, claiming they only share a couple of physical features.
Not a lot were convinced, though, with claims that he's 'enjoying looking like Jeffrey Epstein... and he keeps posting different, attention-grabbing videos every day.'
The commenter concluded with 'If it were me, I would never shove that in people's faces just because I resemble a creep—on the contrary, I'd disappear and change my appearance.'
But to reiterate Palm Beach Pete, 'I'm not gonna change this,' referring to his face, which is eerily similar to Epstein.
