Jeff Ulbrich, the interim head coach for the New York Jets, has a deep-rooted passion for coaching that originated during his playing days with the San Francisco 49ers. As a linebacker, Ulbrich supported and learned from the emerging star, Patrick Willis, the team's first-round pick in 2007. Their collaborative efforts on and off the field ignited Ulbrich's coaching aspirations.
Following a career-ending concussion in 2009, Ulbrich transitioned seamlessly into coaching, despite initial reservations. His coaching journey included stints with the Seattle Seahawks, UCLA, and the Atlanta Falcons, where he was promoted to defensive coordinator mid-season.
