There was a famous face at St James' Park on Sunday as Jeff Hordley saw his team Manchester City come back from behind to earn a draw against Newcastle United.
The Emmerdale actor is a staunch supporter of City and was photographed in the stands as he, and tens of thousands of others took in a thrilling encounter between the Magpies and reigning Premier League champions. It was City who scored first, when Ilkay Gundogan fired them ahead with just five minutes on the clock.
Miguel Almiron levelled things up, after a VAR check, before the St James' faithful were sent into dreamland when Calum Wilson made it 2-1 to United before half time. In an equally thrilling second 45, Newcastle skipper Kieran Trippier looked to have given the home side all three points when he scored a rocket of a free kick. However, City had other ideas and after Erling Haaland set up a tense finish with their second, Bernardo Silva ensured Pep Guardiola's man went back to Manchester with a point.
