Jeff Brazier shares 'unconventional Christmas plans' following split from wife Kate

Jeff Brazier is enjoying celebrating Christmas slightly differently this year following his split from wife Kate O'Dwyer.

The dad-of-two, 43, took to social media on Christmas Eve to reveal he and his sons have been spending a few days in a camper van this week, after 'choosing to go on an adventure' over the festive period.

On Monday, Jeff the sad news he and wife Kate O'Dwyer, 32, had called time on their nine-year romance as he opened up about feeling lonely and struggling to adapt to his new life.

He poignantly told his Instagram followers how his "relationship ended earlier in the year" prior to reports PR executive Kate left their family home due to 'not wanting to be a stay at home wife'.

Returning to Instagram this evening, Jeff shared a sweet snap of himself posing with his sons - EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier, 19, and Freddie Brazier, 18 - as he revealed what they've been up to this week.

"The boys and I have been on the road making memories in the camper this week! Not a conventional Christmas but we’ve chosen to go on an adventure," Jeff began when captioning the snap.

He continued to add: "We started at Seven Sisters in Sussex, had lunch at The Perch cafe in Eastbourne after hitting @davidlloyduk for a workout & shower.

"We then worked our way across to Bexhill-on-Sea and had an amazing meal at Farm Yard in St Leonard’s.

"Then we stopped overnight in Westgate-on-sea, had a lovely day in Margate, swapped Kent for Sussex and this photo was taken in one of my favourite places Orford first thing this morning."

Jeff concluded saying: "Two happy young men, lots of sea air and loads of good food! Camper looks like a good choice so far."

The star shared his two sons with late Big Brother Jade Goody, who sadly passed away in 2009.

TV star Jeff, who also works as a life coach, told his Instagram followers on Monday how he had recently moved to a new area with Bobby and Freddie and put his house on the market following his marriage breaking down.

Jeff and Kate had been together since 2013 and tied the knot in 2018. Jeff's two teenage sons acted as the best men on the former couple's wedding day.

Kate now no longer follows her estranged husband's main Instagram account, while Jeff still follows his ex but hasn't liked any of her posts recently.

Meanwhile, Jeff last shared a picture of Kate to his main Instagram page back in July. The PR executive has not featured in any of his grid posts since.

Jeff announced the end of his marriage with a lengthy statement about 'a challenging year' on Instagram, which reads: "A moment to practice what I preach and start the new week with honesty.

"One for the smilers and eternally positive individuals who don’t often afford themselves the right to share their own vulnerabilities," he wrote.

"I have so much to be grateful for and I appreciate facing the lessons I need to grow but this year has been challenging to say the least."

He continued to reveal: "My 9 year relationship ended earlier in the year and I’ve been working through that on top of supporting someone close to me who is going through something difficult.

"The boys and I have recently moved home to a new area & I spend most of the time alone as the boys obviously have their own things going on.

"It’s been constant change this year and I’m good with adapting but the combination of things have left me low at times and I’ve honestly never felt loneliness like it. Can we put Christmas back a few months?!

"I have lots of great friends and I know they’re a phone call away but sometimes I find it hard to admit I’m struggling with all of the change preferring just to keep working through it myself. I’m a bit too good at that."

Jeff concluded the candid post saying: "There was always going to come a day when the boys didn’t want or need me so much and I thought I’d be more than ok with having all this time on my hands!"
