Jeff Bezos’s space company Blue Origin successfully launched its rocket New Glenn on Thursday (January 16) to ignite a billionaire space race with Elon Musk.

The former Amazon boss hailed the Florida launch as a major step forward despite the company failing to land the booster on a landing platform in the ocean.
