Jeff Bezos consortium bought nearly 40 per cent stake in Liverpool as club valued at more than £5bn

The consortium including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos actually bought 38 percent of Liverpool from Fenway Sports Group.

1892 Holdings, a group led by Amit Bhatia and also including Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin, were thought to have acquired between 30 percent and one third of the club.
