Rapper Jeezy has recently adjusted his request for full custody of his 2-year-old daughter with Jeannie Mai, now seeking to split custody instead. According to court documents, Jeezy claimed that he has had limited time with his daughter since entering an informal custody agreement with his estranged wife in late 2023. Allegedly, he took his daughter on vacation in March but faced difficulties in arranging subsequent visits.
Jeezy expressed concerns that Mai had moved out of their shared home with their daughter, making it challenging for him to know her whereabouts. He also mentioned that Mai was allegedly keeping their daughter away from him due to his ownership of firearms, although he insisted that his daughter had never been negatively impacted by this. Additionally, he claimed that Mai had blocked his number, preventing him from FaceTiming his daughter.
Earlier this month, Jeezy had initially requested primary custody of their daughter, citing concerns about Mai's busy schedule. However, Mai denied accusations of 'gatekeeping' and emphasized her desire to create a supportive environment for both parents to be involved in their daughter's life.
The couple's divorce proceedings began in September, with Jeezy filing for divorce after two years of marriage. Sources close to Mai revealed that she was devastated by the split and expressed a desire to reconcile with Jeezy, highlighting her love for him and her wish to restore their family unit.
