Jedward performing at Edinburgh's The Three Sisters pub for St Patrick's Day

A famous X Factor duo will be performing in Edinburgh today, in celebration of St Patrick's Day in the capital.

Jedward, an infamous set of Irish brothers who appeared on The X Factor in 2009, will take to the stage in Edinburgh this evening, reports Edinburgh Evening News.

The duo are set to appear at the Three Sisters pub, situated in the heart of the capital's 'Little Ireland' at the Cowgate, for a live performance.

Three Sisters are hosting a full day of events on St Patrick's Day, running from 8am until 3am on Saturday morning. Alongside Jedward's performance, customers can expect 'craic'aoke', live bands, drag acts, and even a free breakfast.

There is also a chance to win a host of different prizes throughout the day, including tickets to see Irish popstar Dermot Kennedy and a trip to Dublin to visit the Guinness Storehouse.

Pre-sale tickets have sold out - but you can still get tickets on the door throughout the day.

A spokesperson for the Three Sisters said: “This is the biggest event of the year that you will not want to miss! Last guaranteed priority entry is 10am.

"If you try to enter after this time you will have to join the general queue.”

Jedward are an iconic part of The X Factor, as they appeared as John and Edward on the 2009 series of the show. They finished sixth, and were mentored by judge Louis Walsh.

The identical twins, who garnered nationwide fame due to their matching haircuts and outlandish style, have released four albums since appearing on The X Factor.
