Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor have confirmed the signing of Everton midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin.
The 26-year-old spent the second half of last season with CSKA Moscow, featuring a total of 12 times for the Russian outfit and is again on the move for the 2022/23 campaign. Gbamin will spend the coming months with the reigning Turkish champions, who won their domestic league by a total of eight points last year.
The Turkish club confirmed the move on their Twitter account and while neither club has released full details of the transfer, it is though to be a season-long loan.
One player the midfielder is likely to shape up against this term will be Dele, who has also recently sealed a loan switch to Turkey after struggling to impose himself at Goodison Park. Similarly to the former Tottenham Hotspur man, Gbamin's time as an Everton player has been underwhelming due to his lack of regular availability.
Since arriving at the club for a transfer fee worth £25million in August 2019, the Ivorian has featured just eight times for the Toffees after battling numerous injury setbacks throughout his time on Merseyside. Gbamin still has two years remaining on the five-year deal he signed at Everton following his departure from Bundesliga side, Mainz.
