A former police officer acted out of jealousy when he intimidated his teenage girlfriend after being convicted of assaulting his former partner, a court has been told.

Nicholas James Villanueva, then 29, had been in a "rocky and toxic" open relationship with a 17-year-old for about three months when he accused her of cheating on him in August 2023.
