Pub chain JW Wetherspoon has announced a change to its breakfast menu - and it’s good news for lovers of a good old fry-up. Previously it was only available until 11.30 but now the pub chain has extended it until noon every day of the week.
Commenting on the extra 30 minutes of breakfast fun, Wetherspoons said: “We serve great-quality ingredients from our UK and Irish suppliers, offering exceptional value and choice. Our breakfast menu includes traditional breakfast dishes, from a full cooked breakfast to MOMA Porridge, served plain or with the option to top with banana and honey, as well as our breakfast muffins and range of Benedicts.”
“Tuck in to our traditional breakfast of fried egg, bacon, sausage, baked beans, two hash browns and a slice of toast – or our large breakfast with two fried eggs, bacon, two sausages, baked beans, three hash browns, mushroom, two slices of toast.”

There are also smaller options for health-conscious diners. And there’s vegan and veggie-friendly items, too. The chain added: “Our vegetarian breakfast (including large and small versions) offers fried egg, Quorn sausage, baked beans, hash browns, mushroom and tomato, with a slice of toast.
“The vegan breakfast includes two Quorn vegan sausages, baked beans, two hash browns, mushroom, tomato and a slice of toast. Our freedom breakfast includes two fried eggs, bacon, baked beans, mushroom and tomato.” There are also six breakfast muffins to choose from.
Wetherspoons also has an Lavazza self-service coffee range (or Tetley tea/hot chocolate), including free refills on any tea, coffee or hot chocolate, all day every day. The pub chain added: “See main menus and customer information screen for allergen information, symbol explanations and additional details of our terms and conditions.”

And this isn’t the only change announced by the chain recently. In fact, Wetherspoons is also cutting the cost of a number of items until January 17, across venues in England and Wales.
For example, prices for drinks are starting from just 99p. This means customers will be able to get Carlsberg, Guinness and ciders at slashed prices.
Customers will be able to get reduced prices on a range of spirits too. Coffee and soft drinks across 810 pubs will be reduced to 99p.
“Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it is the perfect time to have a sale in the pub too,” explained Tim Martin, Wetherspoon founder and chairman. “The range of drinks and food on sale in the pub is aimed at suiting a wide variety of tastes. This year we have included our biggest selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks.”
