Republican vice-presidential candidate JD Vance criticized Republican former Rep. Liz Cheney for stating that she would vote for Vice President Kamala Harris over former president Donald Trump. Vance made these remarks at a 'Chase the Vote' Turning Point Action event in Mesa, Arizona, alongside conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Vance expressed his disapproval of Cheney's decision, suggesting that a positive outcome of a potential Donald Trump presidency would be to see individuals like Cheney removed from positions of power. Cheney, known for her vocal opposition to Trump and his attempts to overturn the 2020 election, publicly endorsed Harris during a speech at Duke University.
