PATNA: JD(U) on Monday appointed new presidents in the remaining nine districts where organizational elections could not be held in November last year due to various reasons including gross irregularities in the election process.
The party has 51 organisational districts in Bihar and it announced the election of district presidents for its 42 organisational districts on November 23 last year. The election of district presidents in the remaining nine organization districts – Madhepura, Muzaffarpur, Sheikhpura, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Muzaffarpur Nagar, Darbhanga Nagar, Katihar Nagar and Begusarai Nagar -- were postponed due to different reasons.
