Star Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown has been playing some of the best ball of his career since the 2024 NBA All-Star break, but much of the attention garnered by the Georgia native has been on the offensive end of the court. Brown has also been sneakily one of the Celtics’ best defenders on a team with one of the best defensive ratings in the league.
Speaking to CLNS Media after Boston’s 122-119 win over the Milwaukee Bucks at TD Garden on Wednesday, All-Star teammate Jayson Tatum had praise for the Cal alum’s defense. “It’s powerful to see Jaylen guard the best player on the other team,” said Tatum of Brown taking on the Damian Lillard assignment in the win.
“It has an impact on the rest of the team and really gives everybody else no excuses,” explained the St. Louis native.
