Jayron Kearse Shows Off Ultimate Piece of Tom Brady Memorabilia

With Tom Brady calling it a career for the second time, Wednesday played out much like the first time he announced his retirement. Well wishes from throughout the NFL poured out to honor the seven-time Super Bowl champion, but one social media post celebrating Brady’s career might just take the cake.

Assuming Brady’s retirement sticks this time around, Cowboys safety Jayron Kearse will lay claim to being the last player to intercept a Brady pass. The play occurred during this year’s wild-card round matchup between Tampa Bay and Dallas, when the Cowboys cruised to a 31-14 victory.

Kearse shared a photo of the ball in a tweet congratulating Brady on Tuesday.

Brady’s last game wasn’t his best. He went 35-for-66 passing for 351 yards and two touchdowns, with most of that production coming when the game was already out of hand. Tampa Bay didn’t get on the scoreboard until the final play of the third quarter, and Brady also was sacked twice.

Of course, the 45-year-old leaves behind an unmatched legacy, with myriad highlights that will stand the test of time. That last performance will fade for most—just not, it appears, in the Kearse household.
