Bristolian comedian Jayde Adams will dance the Charleston on this weekend's round of Strictly Come Dancing as the show marks the BBC's centenary. The Bedminster native, who is partnered with professional dancer Karen Hauer, will perform to The Ballad of Barry and Freda (Let's Do It) by Victoria Wood.
The upcoming episode will see the couples dance to iconic theme songs and TV tracks to celebrate 100 years of the BBC. From Doctor Who and Casualty to Eurovision and Line of Duty, there will be a range of music on show.
Jayde and Karen's choice of song was one performed by Wood, who died in 2016. The popular comic wrote and starred in a number of hit BBC shows including Victoria Wood: As Seen on TV and Dinnerladies.

Last week's episode saw Jayde perform the American Smooth, dedicating her dance to her late sister Jenna, who died 11 years ago. Her song choice was Bette Midler's 'Wind Beneath My Wings', which she said reminded her of Jenna.
Jayde explained the choice in her rehearsals: "Bette Midler was mine and my sister Jenna's most favourite musician when we were growing up. We used to have CDs of Bette all over the house and we'd make up dances to Bette in our parents' living room.
"The lyrics to the song really resonate. She [Jenna] was two years older than me, and she died 11 years ago."
The episode also saw Matt Goss lose to Kym Marsh in the dreaded dance-off. It made him the third contestant to leave this year's competition.
You can watch Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday (October 22) at 6.40pm. The results show will be on Sunday at 6.45pm, on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
