Jay Shah elected unopposed as next ICC chairman

NEW DELHI: BCCI secretary Jay Shah is set to assume the role of ICC chairman in December, as announced by the international cricket governing body on Tuesday. Shah was the only candidate nominated for this prestigious position.

The 35-year-old Shah, who has been the BCCI secretary since 2019, is now the youngest ever to reach the pinnacle of global cricket body. Shah has been nominated by all the 15 members of the ICC Board.
