Jay Leno was seen wrapped in bandages in a hospital burns unit after undergoing 'skin grafts' following his terrifying car garage fire.
The TV comedian and actor, 72, was filmed wearing a hospital gown with bandages up his left arm and his right hand fully covered up as he underwent surgery.
Jay is slowly recovering at The Grossman Burn Centre in Los Angeles where doctors say he is in a "good" condition despite the horrifying ordeal.
Footage shows the telly star in a hyperbaric chamber which will "decrease swelling, increase blood flow with good oxygenation and decrease bacteria," according to his doctor.
He will reportedly undergo another procedure later this week after he was severely burnt in a blaze at his LA garage where he keeps his multi-million-pound luxury car collection.
"I got some serious burns from a gasoline fire. I am ok. Just need a week or two to get back on my feet," he told The Mirror earlier this week.
Video from news outlet Inside Edition gave fans an update on Jay's condition following several skin grafts to help treat the major burns.
Jay's doctor Peter Grossman told the programme: "He’s had skin grafts that are not his own, meaning skin that we have in our skin bank. That’s what we initially do as a first stage."
He said Jay is "up and walking around" as well as making jokes with everyone. Jay even reportedly handed out cookies to children that were also in the burn centre.
The health update comes after reports suggested that the quick-thinking from Jay's pal Dave prevented the terrifying ordeal from being a fatal incident.
According to TMZ, Jay told the outlet his buddy Dave was "right there" during the blaze and "jumped on him, quickly smothering the flames".
They reported that the left side of Jay's face was badly burned. His hands were burned as well.
He had been due to perform at a financial conference in Las Vegas on Sunday night, but was left unable to attend due to the serious injury to the left side of his face.
The cancelation of Jay's Sunday night performance was confirmed to Forum 2022 attendees in an email issued by The Financial Brand.
"His family was not able to provide us very many details, but there was a very serious medical emergency that is preventing Jay from traveling.
"All we know is that he is alive, so our prayers go out to him and his family tonight," the email stated, according to People.
