Ryan Day said Jaxon Smith-Njigba was on a pitch count of about 20 plays. Seems to downplay any aggravation of his hamstring injury.

The highly anticipated return of Ohio State wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba was far more whimper than bang.
The Buckeyes’ star pass-catcher caught just one pass for seven yards in Saturday’s blowout victory over Iowa, though head coach Ryan Day told the media after the game that Smith-Njigba was on a “pitch count” of about 20 snaps.
After coming into the season as one of the top receiver prospects in the 2023 NFL draft class, Smith-Njigba has missed most of the action so far this year due to injury.
Hopefully, he’ll be able to handle a full workload soon, and NFL teams will get a better look at this year’s version of the potential first-round prospect.
