One of the top pass-catchers in college football is getting an early start on his preparations for the next level.
Ohio State wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba is declaring for the 2023 NFL draft, and will not play in this year’s College Football Playoff, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
Smith-Njigba as missed most of the 2022 season due to injury, and now his focus will be getting back to full strength in preparation for the pros.
Despite this injury-riddled season, Smith-Njigba still has all the potential we saw during his impressive 2021 campaign, and that could still make him a first-round pick in next year’s draft.
