A jaw-dropping video has captured the moment lightning strikes scaffolding.
One man who witnessed the sight said it was as awesome as it was terrifying.
The video was filmed at Chris Sedgeman scaffolding yard in Cornwall just before 7am this morning.

Zak Harries, who works there, was filming the turbulent weather when lightning suddenly cracked from the sky towards the ground. It shows the fork of lightning striking some distant scaffolding as several of his co-workers duck away.

Mr Harries said there had been thunder and lightning for around 45 minutes prior to the clip which he shared with CornwallLive.
"I was trying to catch the storm and luckily got the strike that hit closest," he said.
It comes as Met Eireann has issued a thunderstorm warning for 10 counties.
The country has been enjoying scorching hot temperatures in recent days, but that’s due to come to an end on Tuesday as thunderstorms roll in.
The national forecaster says there will be thunderstorm activity in places today which could lead to localised downpours.
Weather maps show thundery showers and lightning have already made landfall in Ireland's south coast.
Met Eireann’s Status Yellow alert is in place for Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cavan, Donegal, Cork, Tipperary, Waterford and Leitrim until 9pm.
Giving its overall forecast for Tuesday, it said: “Today will continue warm over the eastern half of the country with highest temperatures of 22C to 27C or 28C. Cooler and fresher elsewhere with highs of 16C to 21C.
“Some hazy sunshine but overall a good deal of cloud today and while many areas will be dry, there will be some thundery downpours also. Light winds will increase moderate to fresh northwesterly with the rain.
“Showery rain tonight will continue in the east and south for a time tonight. However, it will be drier elsewhere with clear spells and just isolated light showers. Cooler than previous nights with lowest temperatures of 11C to 14C in a light to moderate northwest breeze.”
Looking ahead to the rest of the week, it said: “Temperatures remaining around normal for the rest of the week. There will be a fair amount of dry weather apart from a few showers or patchy light rain. However, it will turn wetter this weekend.”
