A bemused Brit has caught the moment Tenerife holidaymakers scrambled for sunbeds at 8am at a hotel.
The hilarious moment, caught on camera by fellow guest Thomas Clifford, shows sleepy guests waiting at the sidelines, towels in hand, waiting for the perfect moment to pounce.
At 7.47am, the tourists are apparently given the green light by hotel staff and they dash to the unclaimed sunloungers to lay out their towels.

Thomas, 30, was staying at the Sunlight Bahia Principe Hotel in Costa Adeje on the Spanish isle of Tenerife. and said most of his fellow guests were Brits.
Thomas said that the sun worshipping tourists were even throwing their towels off the top of the stairs to bag one of the elusive poolside loungers.
The holidaymaker added: “It happened each morning without fail, which made me laugh.
“Some of them were waiting there from 7.20am.
“I felt sorry for the poor man trying to clean the pool as everyone stampeded him.”
Thomas said he travelled with five people for a 12-day trip to the sunny island and despite the madcap scenes, he said he otherwise had an “amazing” holiday in Tenerife.
Thomas shared two videos that were uploaded to his TikTok page where they have been viewed over 5,000 times and received dozens of comments.
María said: “So typical here in Tenerife.” Peaches wrote: “Oh my God. Hideous.”
Joanne remarked: “I was there a few years ago.
“Was nightmare, we paid weekly for beds and some days we couldn't get one. Wasn’t good having to get up to go queue, run round the pool and pay.”
Pete commented: “We were there this Easter, the sunbed dash was even busier then.”
‘Sunbed battles’ at popular Tenerife resorts are very common during the summer months, however some hotels do not allow guests to reserve sunbeds with a strategically-placed towel.
