Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has claimed that Javi Gracia "will do very well" at Leeds United as he hailed the Whites' decision to appoint the former Watford boss as their new head coach.
Gracia's arrival at Elland Road puts to bed weeks of speculation following Jesse Marsch's departure more than a fortnight ago. Alfred Schreuder, Rafa Benitez, Arne Slot, Andoni Iraola and even Harry Redknapp were all linked with the top job at Leeds prior to Tuesday afternoon's confirmation that the Spaniard will take charge on a flexible contract.
Gracia brings with him a wealth of Premier League experience from his time at Watford. He led the Hornets to an 11th-place finish in the top-flight alongside an FA Cup final appearance during his first season in charge at Vicarage Road.

And Balague has now waxed lyrical over the man who has been tasked with keeping Leeds in the Premier League over the course of their next 15 matches.
"He is a manager that doesn't have just one style, he adapts to the types of players he has," Balague told BBC Sport. "That is why he will work very well for Watford or Leeds. Because if they have to become more defensive, he will be able to adjust that, if they need more goals, he will also be able to do it in training.
"I have been to see him a few times in old jobs and he develops a very close relationship with players, he was a player himself at the top level.
"And he knows what is required. He is quiet when he has to be, raises his voice when he has to. He convinces players by working with them, not imposing his personality. He is a great reader of games."
