Michael Bridges believes that Javi Gracia's achievements at Watford bode well ahead of his appointment as Leeds United manager.
Gracia led Watford to an 11th-place finish in his only full season at Vicarage Road, before guiding them to their first FA Cup final in 35 years.
Watford ultimately succumbed to a 6-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester City in the 2019 FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium, but ex-Leeds striker Bridges insists the Spaniard can bring his valuable experience into his latest role at Elland Road.
"I am really happy with this appointment," Bridges told the GegenPod Football Podcast "When you think of what he did with Watford - keeping them in the Premier League also a cup final with Watford as well.

"And he's been around so he's got the experience. I'm just hoping that he can come in and obviously they are going to keep the status quo of staff at present.
"The two performances they showed against Manchester United were very spirited and played a better style of football but the result against Everton was where they had to hit the panic button."
