Salford funnyman Jason Manford has cancelled two upcoming stand-up shows due to a 'personal family matter'.
The 41-year-old comic has pulled out of two dates in Exeter and Exmouth - both in southwest England - later this week. In a post shared on his official Twitter page, Manford said that it was the "last option" and that there was "Nothing [he] could do".
He wrote: "Hey folks, due to a personal family matter I've had to cancel my shows in Exeter & Exmouth this week. It's always my last option and I absolutely hate letting people down.

"Have managed to get through a full 260 rescheduled tour the best I can, but on this occasion there was nothing I could do. I'll make it up to you and be back soonest. Thanks for your support as always, Jason."
Manford is set to play a homecoming show at O2 Apollo Manchester later this month, with limited tickets still available. He will also star as Captain Hook in the Peter Pan pantomime at Manchester Opera House throughout December.
