Jason Kelce miserably failed College GameDay’s field goal challenge (twice!)

Jason Kelce is a man of many talents, but it turns out that after 13 years in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles, the now retired center can’t kick a field goal.

College GameDay was in Happy Valley on Saturday for No. 4 Ohio State’s road game against No. 3 Penn State, and Kelce was a guest on the show. He was there to take on GameDay‘s field goal challenge for $100,000 for charity, and that seemed like a reasonable challenge for a former pro football player who surely tried to kick a ball at some point, even for fun.

Now, in Kelce’s defense, it looked like he was doing it in Timberlands, so maybe not the most ideal shoe. His first field goal attempt went wide left, so the GameDay crew gave him another chance. The second time around may have been even wider to the left.

Luckily, Kelce was a good sport about it and said: “I suck at kicking, OK?!” Plus, per Pat McAfee, $200,000 will still be donated to hurricane relief.

As far as his shoe choice goes, that actually goes back to a few weeks ago when a Cal student nailed a kick wearing Vans. According to Awful Announcing:

This came after Cal student Daniel, who hit a kick in Vans last month and later partnered with that company, challenged Kelce to try making a kick in his Timberland boots. That’s what Kelce did here, but it didn’t work out for him.
