Harry Potter star Jason Isaacs has thrown his support behind controversial author JK Rowling and won't be 'stabbing her in the front - or back.'
The creator of the wizarding world has been under fire for quite some time for her controversial views on trans issues.
Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and more have spoken out against her views, but the Lucius Malfoy actor reminded people that Rowling has given an 'enormous amount of her fortune into making the world a much better place'.
Speaking to The Telegraph, he said: "She has her opinions, I have mine. They differ in many different areas.
"But one of the things that people should know about her too – not as a counter-argument – is that she has poured an enormous amount of her fortune into making the world a much better place, for hundreds of thousands of vulnerable children, through her charity Lumos.
"And that is unequivocally good. Many of us Harry Potter actors have worked for it, and seen on the ground the work that they do."
He went on to say that even though she has said some 'very controversial things', he wasn't going to 'be jumping to stab her in the front – or back – without a conversation with her, which I've not managed to have yet."
Meanwhile, Ron Weasley actor Rupert recently discussed how he felt about the famous author.
The 33-year-old - who is father to a baby girl, named Wednesday G Grint, with partner Georgia Groome - has spoken out, again, on the creator of the wizarding world stories after Rowling publicly shared her disapproval of certain transgender terminology.
In a new interview, he admitted that he 'doesn't agree with everything the writer says' as he distanced himself from the comments that led to her being accused of transphobia.
"I liken JK Rowling to an auntie. I don't necessarily agree with everything my auntie says, but she's still my auntie. It's a tricky one," he told The Sunday Times.
It is not the first time that Rupert has shared his thoughts on Rowling's comments.

At the time, he told The Times: "Trans women are women. Trans men are men. We should all be entitled to live with love and without judgment.
"I firmly stand with the trans community and echo the sentiments expressed by many of my peers."
Things went south in June 2020 when Rowling took to Twitter to tell social media followers that she didn't like the term 'people who menstruate' being used instead of 'women'.
"I'm sure there used to be a word for those people. Someone help me out. Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud?" Rowling tweeted.
