Irish comic, Jason Byrne, took to social media this week slamming Ryanair staff after he had to go through an insanely long process to retrieve his wallet that he left on a plane.
He explained that he had gotten off the Ryanair plane in haste and forgot his wallet on his seat - and even knew exactly where it was.
Despite this, an air hostess told him that neither she nor he could not go back onto the aircraft and would have to go to the help desk in the terminal.

After walking back through the airport, the assistant at the desk called the plane and simply said there was no one answering and that he would have to contact lost and found.
In a video posted to Facebook, Jason Byrne explained: "So, I was on a Ryanair flight coming back from Kerry and I left my wallet on the plane right?
“Now, I didn’t lose it… I left it on the plane. So I get off the Ryanair flight and I get into the terminal bit and went ‘ah, oh my god, my wallet,’ it’s on seat 6F, I know exactly where it is.
“You know, I got up too quickly, somebody asked me something and I just wasn’t looking at what I was doing.
“Found a Ryanair staff member and said, ‘oh listen, can I just or can you go back there and just get that for me there, my wallet is on the plane. It’s not lost, it’s on the plane, it’s on seat 6F’ and they went ‘aw no sorry, you’re going to have to go out to the help desk at the front.’
Despite pleading with the member of staff, they refused and Jason went on to explain: “So I had to go back out to the terminal, through passport control, and everything, go up to the help desk and say can you ring the plane down there before it takes off because me wallet’s on it”.
They had no luck with getting anyone to answer the phone and handed him a phone number to ring and said he would have to wait and see if someone would hand the wallet in.
After the entire rigmarole, Byrne was finally in luck. A lovely woman who ended up travelling on that same plane found his wallet and contacted him through social media.
Knowing how hard it was to get anything back once handed over to the airline staff, she said she held onto it and posted it back to Dublin from somewhere in England when she got home.
Byrne said: “Thank you, Penny Wilkinson,” as he showed the wallet to the camera with a little note on it and continued, “Me cards had to go all around the world. Eventually into Penny’s hands somewhere in England. She then posted them from England to Ireland herself because she thought it would be safer than handing them to a Ryanair staff. Unbelievable”.
In a follow up post, Byrne confirmed his annoyance was "directed at the rules" rather than Ryanair.
A follower stated: "I get your situation But you have to understand side of the Ryanair employees as well, the reason why she/he couldn't come back to the cabin is due to procedures, nobody will risk their job to just help you, if she could then she would probably help you."
Byrne responded: "No I get it , this is directed at the rules."
