The Lions went into U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis and handed the Vikings their first loss of the season and took over first place in the NFC North with a 31-29 victory.
In the process, quarterback Jared Goff posted a quarterback rating of 140.0. That marked Goff’s third straight game with a QB rating of at least 140, following his 155.8 against the Seahawks and 153.8 against the Cowboys.
Goff became only the fourth quarterback in NFL history to have three straight games with a 140+ rating. The other three quarterbacks? Only three of the NFL’s greatest in Roger Staubach (1971), Kurt Warner (1999) and Aaron Rodgers (2011). That’s two current members of the Hall of Fame and one future member.
.@Lions QB @JaredGoff16 has posted a passer rating of 140.0+ in three-straight games.
He’s is the 4th player in @NFL history to do so, joining:

– Kurt Warner (1999)

Head coach Dan Campbell and offensive coordinator Ben Johnson have this offense flying high and No. 16 is the star of the show and a big reason why the Lions have their second straight season starting 5-1 and are back in the driver’s seat in the division.
