Jared Goff was on fire in the last Detroit Lions game. The Lions QB did not throw a single incompletion in the Week 4 win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Goff finished a perfect 18-of-18 on that fateful Monday night, throwing for 292 yards and two TDs. He also caught a touchdown pass in the 42-29 win over the Seahawks.
Goff was asked if he’s ever played as well as he did in that Week 4 perfect game. Somewhat surprisingly, Goff does think he’s been in a better groove than that before.
“I have, yeah,” Goff said. “There are other games that I felt like I’ve played even better. We just had no incompletions — which is rare, but there wasn’t like a – I felt good, yeah, I felt good, but I’ve had games where I feel even better, and things are clicking even more. I think we can get there. We can do even better and continue to improve.”
Goff didn’t cite any exact games in the past where he’s played better. In looking back at his NFL career, Goff did have one game in which he recorded a perfect QB Rating of 158.3. That came while he played for the Los Angeles Rams back in Week 4 of the 2018 season against the Minnesota Vikings.
Goff’s stat line on that day: 26-of-33, 465 yards, 5 TDs, no turnovers.
