Japanese minister visits Australia amid ‘melongate’

  • While Albanese denied making inappropriate comments, former Japanese ambassador Shingo Yamagami condemned the remarks as sexist.
  • Following his talks in Canberra, Koizumi will travel to New Delhi to meet with Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
