Japan have produced another incredible World Cup comeback with their qualification-deciding fixture against Spain being turned on its head in the space of three second half minutes. Alvaro Morata gave the Spaniards the lead but Ritsu Doan and Ao Tanaka both netted to put Japan in front.
Germany were on the receiving end of Japan's never-say-die attitude earlier in the tournament when Ilkay Gundogan's penalty was cancelled out by late second half goals from Doan and Takuma Asano, although their second goal against Spain is marred in controversy
For Tanaka's goal the ball was extremely close to being out of play when Karou Mitoma stretched to cross back in for Tanaka and confusion has engulfed many football fans watching the match as in one angle it looked as if the ball was indeed out.
