Jantar Mantar denotified as protest site, Delhi designates three new venues

Protests New Delhi Jantar Mantar Delhi Police Ministry of Home Affairs KC Venugopal Police Opposition Central Reserve Police Force Election Commission

The Delhi Police on Monday denotified Jantar Mantar as a venue for protests and demonstrations and designated Ramlila Ground, Burari Ground and CBD Ground in East Delhi as the three new sites.

The move is based on the recommendations of a committee constituted by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to examine alternative venues for citizens to exercise their right to organise protests and demonstrations in place of the existing designated site.
