Glasgow comic Janey Godley thought she was "going to die" when she choked on stage in front of thousands of fans last night.
Her daughter Ashley Storrie ran on to help and ended up taking over the gig for a bit while her mum recovered.
Posting on Twitter after the dramatic scene at the Glasgow SEC show, Janey, wrote: "Literally choked on water onstage and thought I was going to die - audience were absolutely horrified and equally worried - I couldn’t breathe and then Ashley Storrie ran on and banged my back and I got back on track so sorry I scared everyone."

The frightening incident unfolded as Janey performed her 'Not Dead Yet' show in her home city.
Fans watched in horror as Janey - who is undergoing chemotherapy for ovarian cancer - struggled to breathe after taking a sip of water.
Writing on Twitter, Ashley said: "Mum nearly choked to death on a sip of water, on stage, in front of thousands of people, I had to pat her back, ascertain if she was dying and also take the mic and do funny bits while she learned to breathe again. I’m a f****** wreck."
Renfrewshire councillor Jacqueline Cameron was at the show, she Tweeted Janey, saying: "You were fabulous tonight. Belly laughed like I hadn’t in ages. Cried too, of course. Choking episode was scary, glad you’re ok."
Lynn Williams added: "We were so worried..but like a true professional, you picked up and kept going."
And J Mac went on: "Janey, thanks for such a brilliant night, you and Ashley and Honey were tremendous. A night to always remember with gratitude. Held my breathe during the choke, but glad you're ok."
