Janey Godley says she can't wait for a "pain and trouble free life" after suffering agony in her stomach following her latest cancer treatment.
Janey was diagnosed with ovarian cancer .in November.
She had a full hysterectomy and was told the disease had advanced to stage 3 in January, meaning it had spread from her ovaries.
She requires ongoing treatments to manage the illness and chemotherapy, which she started last week.
In her most recent update, Janey admitted she has been finding things hard.
The comic told followers on Twitter about her ordeal after she woke at 4am with pains.
She explained: "4am was awoken with random abdomen pain, since the chemo I have started getting these weird stabbing pains all over my belly.
"My brain just can’t process the sheer amount of medicine to take, and the strange phantom stabbings.
"Can’t thank the cancer care team enough for support."
Janey was first alerted something wasn't right with her health when she started experiencing back pain, a loss of appetite, and a bloated stomach
The mum-of-one added: 'Been a rough couple of days, don’t want to keep talking about chemo and cancer, want to find joy in things that aren’t painful and look forward to life again, feels hard mentally right now but I am trying my best
"I just want to look forward to a day where my brain isn’t jangling and stomach doesn’t hurt."
Janey told her followers she would not be able to play planned gigs at the Kings Theatre in Glasgow on March 18 and 19, however she has made alternative plans.
She said: 'My 3 Kings Theatre Glasgow shows on 18/19th March will go ahead unfortunately due to cancer, I can’t be there but my comedy friends are stepping & @ashleystorrie hosting - all proceeds to @Beatson_Charity."
