Jane McDonald has shared an insight into her life, revealing she has no plans to "settle down" following the tragic death of her beloved fiancé, Ed Rothe.
Ed sadly died aged 67 following a battle with lung cancer in March 2021, leaving Jane heartbroken.
While the star says she wouldn't rule out going on a date in the future, she admits that she's "quite happy" and isn't setting her sights on any new romances.
Jane, 59, has stated how "grateful" she is to have had the "best" relationship with her late partner having been together for 13 years after reuniting with one another.
Speaking to ED! the Wakefield-born star said: "The last thing that I want to do is settle down again because the girls and I can go out and do things and go everywhere we want to.
"That's one thing that I've learned with grief, when you're on your own, you don't have to worry about compromising."
The former Loose Women star went on to add: "I'm not saying I'll never go on a date again, but I'm quite happy with my life and it has turned out.
"I mean, I definitely had the best [with Ed] and I'm very grateful that I had the best."
The singer explained that she endured a "dark and painful time" losing both Ed and her mum so close to one another but admits that she's learning how to live a "different life".
Ahead of turning 60 on April 4, Jane explained that she is married to her work but is embracing her upcoming birthday as she feels as though she's getting younger.
But while the presenter is busier than ever, she admits she's not considering slowing down any time soon and is working her "socks off" after her sold-out Let The Light In Tour concluded in the summer.
Jane says that she has plans to go on tour again but is eyeing up more work television work and is considering a small break in 2023.
The singer and Ed became engaged on Christmas Eve in 2008, having rekindled their romance earlier that year.
Jane and Ed were previously an item before going their separate ways in 2002, having known one another since their younger days on the music scene.
Earlier this year, the star who recently moved in with her best friend, Sue, opened up about Ed's death during an appearance on Loose Women.
She told her former co-stars: "I'm doing so much better and you realise just how important your family and friends are. I have more good days now than bad days and I relish those now.
"I was very lucky - I've always had a very busy life without a partner, so I've been able to just carry on and my fans were just incredible. They got me through so much over the tour, so I'm very grateful."
