A unique copy of Jane Austen's novel 'Emma' was sold for a whopping £375,000 recently, making it the most expensive book of the author. And now, news is that the first edition inscribed copy of 'Emma' will be put on display for the public in the UK early next year.
The novel is inscribed by the publisher, instead of the author as that was the custom back then. It also has the handwritten message by Jane Austen. The unique book was originally given to Jane Austen's friend Anne Sharp, who was also the governess to the author's brother Edward's children.
