PRAYAGRAJ: After their traditional bases of Jamtara and Giridih districts of Jharkhand have come under police scanner, big cyber criminals are hiring young recruits, who live in rented accommodations in small or KAVAL (Kanpur, Agra, Varanasi, Allahabad and Lucknow) towns, open accounts in both private and government banks after changing their address on Aadhaar cards and transfer money to their ‘bosses’ once the work in done.
This startling fact came to light after a joint team of Colonelganj police and Cyber crime cell of the district police on Monday arrested as many as six cybercriminals in the city. In questioning, they spilled the beans about their latest modus operandi.
