A mooted Jaime Tate return to Emmerdale would bring ‘chaos’ to the village.
This is the view of Rosie Bentham, 21, who plays the infamous Jaime’s former fling Gabby Thomas. As Emmerdale fans know, Jamie, played by Alexander Lincoln, disappeared in 2021 with villagers fearing he died after he crashed into a lake while driving.
The character is in fact alive unbeknownst to the villagers but many Emmerdale fans thought we might see the character return as part of the soap’s 50th anniversary celebrations last year. Jamie’s reappearance never happened but Emmerdale executive producer recently teasing the possible summer return of a former favourite there’s still hope.

Jane teased: “I can’t tell you (who) because I’m still checking. We are doing June storylines and I had an idea the other day and thought ‘ahhhhh, our viewers would love that’.” Gabby Thomas star Rosie has added some fuel to the fire and teased a possible Jamie Tate return.
Rosie said: “Jamie returning would be chaos. There’s a lot of things unsolved from when he was here. A lot of hurt would come back up for Gabby. Obviously, he left. She thought they were getting married and he was playing her.

“I think it would cause a lot of chaos. With Kim also, it would certainly rock the boat at Home Farm. Who’s hands Home Farm would be left in after that who knows? But Gabby would be hoping hers.
Of course, it is all just rumours currently but we'll bring you further details if we find out any more about Jaime Tate heading back to the village.
