Jamie Redknapp has claimed that Arsenal are more than capable of winning the Premier League as there is something "not quite right" at Manchester City.
The Gunners have led the way in the title race for the majority of the current campaign and have now underlined their championship credentials with back-to-back to wins against Tottenham and Manchester United.
Pep Guardiola's defending champions, meanwhile, are in the midst of a rut: they did beat Wolves 3-0 on Sunday courtesy of another hat-trick from Erling Haaland but have produced a number of uncharacteristically flat performances this term - including an underwhelming first-half display in the win over Spurs in midweek, which sparked a remarkable post-match rant from the City chief.
Although City fought back to win the match 4-2, there are still major question marks over Guardiola's team, who are bidding for a fifth title triumph in six years.
And while Redknapp admits that City are "the last team you would want" chasing you at the summit of the league, he believes that City are not the indomitable force that they once were and that Guardiola is attempting to find a new winning formula.
Speaking after Arsenal's dramatic late win over Manchester United, Redknapp told Sky Sports: "Why can’t they [Arsenal win the league]? Pep’s interview after the Spurs game, you can see there’s something not quite right with them. He’s searching for the right team, the right formation, defensively they’re changing personnel all the time.

"I’ve seen Leicester win a Premier League - anything can happen - why can’t Arsenal win it? They’ve got momentum, quality, the manager, everything is going their way. They’re going to need little bits of luck of course, but right now I certainly think they can do it. Gary touched on it, the last team you would want in world football hunting you down is Man City, they’re the only contenders, it’s just between those two."
Guardiola saw his side respond with a 3-0 win over Wolves after he accused them of lacking the "passion, fire and hunger" required to retain their Premier League title.
But the Spaniard was still not satisfied with his team following Sunday's triumph. Speaking after the match, Guardiola said: "The message is clear - it's just one game, so we have to see in the future. The way we played was quite similar to the first-half when we were losing 2-0 to Spurs.
"There are things like how you react when the ball is out of play and we don’t react. Today we improved, but it was just today, so we'll see what happens in the next games."
