Jamie Mullarkey ready to test undefeated newcomer’s perfect finish rate at UFC 284

PERTH, Australia – Jamie Mullarkey might be taking on an unbeaten international prospect who never has gone the distance, but he’s not being overlooked.

For Mullarkey, despite mixed results during his UFC tenure so far, it’s quite the opposite. Mullarkey (15-5 MMA, 3-3 UFC) is one of the biggest favorites at UFC 284 in his lightweight bout against Francisco Prado (11-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC).

Prado, from Argentina, has finished 100 percent of his fights since he turned pro in mid-2019. And making things more interesting, he’s got a near-equal amount of submissions and knockouts on his resume.

But it’s Mullarkey who nearly is a 3-1 favorite in front of his home fans in Australia. And he thinks he’s going to back it up against his unbeaten opponent.

Check out Mullarkey’s full media day interview in the video above.

UFC 284 takes place Saturday at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and early prelims on ESPN+.
