ST JOHNSTONE are set to lose key player Jamie McCart next week.
The defender, 25, is set to join Rotherham United upon the expiry of his contract at McDiarmid Park.
McCart has been a vital cog in Callum Davidson's side.
He joined the Perth outfit from Inverness back when Tommy Wright was still in charge.
He of course was part of the double cup winning team in the 2020/21 campaign.
But ahead of the new season, it looks like he'll be plying his trade in England's Championship.
Paul Davis, a reporter for the Rotherham Advertiser, claims a provisional deal has been agreed.
The local journalist tweeted: "Scottish centre-half Jamie McCart set to join Millers next week. Provisional deal with 25-year-old agreed. More than 100 appearances for St Johnstone. Contract due to expire."
