Jamie Lynn Spears is adamant she tried to help sister Britney when she was stuck in her conservatorship.
Older sister Britney, 40, won her battle to free herself from the restraints of her conservatorship after nearly 13 years and quickly took aim at her family's involvement.
And the Toxic singer and younger sis Jamie Lynn, 30, have been involved in a bitter war of words on social media following the younger sibling's latest book release.
But, as the pair go back and forth, the former Nickelodeon child star has sensationally claimed she actually tried to help Britney during her time of need.
Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Jamie Lynn explained how she tried to talk to her sister's lawyers at the time but her attempts "blew up in my face".
She said: "She didn't like the way certain things were happening so I gave her the number of judges, I talked to her lawyer on the phone which blew up in my face and everyone turned against me."
She went on to say that she thought her sister didn't want anything to do with the case anymore and confessed that during a family trip to Hawaii the duo opened up on the subject.
"Every night we stayed up talking," Jamie Lynn said. "She was expressing things to me, which are obviously her things to express. To my point of view she deserved the right to have to talk to somebody.
"So I spoke with a lawyer and I told them a lot of s*** and it went nowhere and people got mad at me."
She also claimed that both her and her husband had details of the case looked into for her sister and told Britney that her conservatorship would be absolved if she lived elsewhere for a period of time.
She continued: "If she wanted to end it then that was what I was gonna support. I kept telling her, 'come live with me in my s***hole in Louisiana'."
Jamie Lynn said she wasn't sure why Britney didn't take her up on her offer despite "putting herself on the line" on a number of occasions.
While she didn't give a time frame of events, she told the show's host to "look up" their trip to Hawaii on Instagram to see when the event took place.
Although Britney hasn't yet commented back on the claims, she posted an image reading "be the light" to her Instagram on Thursday evening.
