Actress Jamie Lee Curtis is set to take on her most important role to date – officiating her daughter’s wedding.

Eldest daughter Ruby will tie the knot with Cynthia in May and has asked her mother to do the honours, but with the condition that she does so dressed as a computer game character.

“It is a cosplay wedding. That means you wear a costume. You dress up as something,” Ms Curtis, 63, explained during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmell Live.

“Ruby and Cynthia picked my costume. Her name is Jaina Proudmoore. It’s from—anybody here know what that is? It’s a game. I don’t know, it’s a game. She’s an admiral.”

The Hollywood veteran went on to express her concern however, that her costume may not make it in time for the big day.

Elaborating further, she said that the seamstress she had commissioned off Etsy lives in Russia and has been suffering supply issues due to the ongoing war with Ukraine.

The mother-of-two originally revealed her role at the nuptials last year to People magazine in which she discussed her daughter coming out as transgender in a joint interview with Ruby.

This will not be the first wedding that ordained minister Curtis has conducted.

Back in 2020 the Halloween star made terminally ill horror superfan Anthony Woodle’s wish come true by marrying him and fiancée Emilee.

According to Deadline, Mr Woodle’s health declined before the originally scheduled big day however, and Curtis carried out the ceremony over the phone as he lay unconscious with his family and sweetheart by his side.

The 29-year-old sadly died within an hour of saying “I do”.
