Jamie Lee Curtis’s daughter Ruby Guest made her red-carpet debut after coming out as transgender, as she attended the Halloween Ends LA premiere on Tuesday.
The premiere was a family affair, as the 26-year-old joined her sister as they supported their mum at the world premiere of the film.
Curtis, 63, publicly announced that daughter Ruby was transgender in July 2021, as she confirmed that she had changed her name from Thomas.
The acting legend adopted Ruby as a newborn with her husband, Christopher Guest, in 1996, joining their second daughter, Annie, now 35.
Ruby beamed as she was pictured hand-in-hand with her mother at the Halloween premiere on Tuesday night.
The family trio looked glamorous at the event as they each sported long evening gowns.
Ruby was seen wearing a silver pleated dress with a black blazer, while sister Annie flaunted a strapless black design, with rose embroidery at the chest and long, sheer black gloves.
Star of the night Curtis wowed on the red carpet as she wore a sparkling red Bardot gown to the event.
Curtis previously told AARP magazine that she and her husband “have watched in wonder and pride as our son became our daughter, Ruby”.
The actress has been an advocate for the trans community for several years and shared her support in a 2017 article for young transpeople, as she wrote: “Dear Trans Kids. The letter we all wish we had written. (from a trans teacher).”
Ruby’s appearance comes after she recently married her partner, Kynthia.
Proud mother Curtis posted photos of her daughter’s wedding in May, which was Cosplay-themed, as she wrote at the time: “A JOYFUL DAY! TEAM WORK made the DREAM WORK!”
Curtis went on to thank those who had helped in the wedding, as she said: “Add to them the MANY people who helped us on the day and in the set-up and then breakdown.
“Who all participated in the celebration and of course all of our guests and friends and family who suited up and showed up in wonderful ways and costumes to help us all celebrate the LOVE between Ruby and Kynthia!”
