Jamie Foxx's family 'preparing for the worst' as actor remains in hospital

The family of Hollywood star Jamie Foxx are said to be "hoping for the best but preparing for the worst" according to a source close to his inner circle. The Django actor was rushed to hospital due to a medical complication while working on his upcoming Netflix feature, Back In Action, alongside Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close, writes The Mirror.

Jamie's daughter Corinne posted a statement on Instagram about her father's health scare last month, writing: "We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers," the statement read in addition. "The family asks for privacy during this time."

Just last week, Jamie's condition was said to have improved, but sources said that doctors are doing more tests before allowing him to leave and have advised him to "keep his stress level down".

The source told People : "Jamie is stable and not in a life-threatening situation now. [Doctors] are doing more tests and want to be completely sure that he will be okay before allowing him to leave the hospital."

Even though Jamie is said to be "healing" and "feeling the love" from all of his supporters and well wishers, details on the situation have yet to be made public. Sources told Radar that he's "doing OK and improving, while doctors try to get to the bottom of his problems," but he "wouldn’t be in a hospital this long if he was anything close to OK."

According to The Mirror, they added that Jamie's recovery has been "touch and go" and at one stage he "had to be revived" by emergency room physicians who saved the actor. "He is very lucky to be alive!” said the source. A second insider said that Jamie suffers from high blood pressure which can cause clots in the brain and lead to a stroke.
