Fans of Jamie Foxx are convinced his daughter has given an update about his health on Instagram.
The Hollywood star was admitted to hospital last month after suffering a “medical complication” while filming Netflix action-comedy Back In Action with Cameron Diaz in Atlanta, Georgia.
Little has been shared about the intricacies of the situation, but now fans of the 55-year-old believe his daughter Corinne, 29, has given an insight into his recovery.
Sharing a sponsored video on May 9, she wrote: “First he’s learning how to sync his phone with his #IntelEvo laptop, next thing you know he’ll be editing photos all by himself. Baby steps, Jamie Foxx. Baby steps. #ProudDaughter.”
Despite the post being an advert, fans think it could an update on the Texas-born star’s health, with many taking to the comments to speculate about the actor’s progress.
Writing under the post, one fan questioned: “Could his status be in her message? Baby steps. Prayers.”
The comment sparked several replies from concerned fans, with another remarking: “That’s the first thing came to my mind”, while a third shared, “I was thinking the same thing”.
A fourth chimed in: “I definitely believe so.”
Another social media user noted: “She is saying ‘baby steps’. She’s trying to tell us that he should be okay.”
The latest comments come as fans have been voicing their concern for the star amid conflicting reports about his health as he continues to reside at a Georgia medical facility undergoing tests.
Since his hospitalisation, sources close to the actor have claimed that he’s “doing ok”, while other outlets have reported that his family are “hoping for the best”.
In light of the conflicting reports, a concerned fan penned under a recent Instagram post: “Conflicting messages about Jamie, can we get an official report. God breath (sic) good life into him.”
Just last week, PageSix reported that “nothing had changed” and he was “still in the same condition”. The Standard has contacted Jamie Foxx’s representatives for comment.
Earlier this month, Foxx broke his silence after spending three weeks in hospital with a mystery illness telling his 17 million Instagram followers that he “appreciates” all their love and well wishes.
He also gave a shout out to friend Nick Cannon who has filled in on hosting duties for him on the popular game show Beat Shazam, sharing: “Appreciate ya my boy Nick Cannon, see you all soon.”
Although it hasn’t been confirmed whether the Spiderman star wrote and shared the social media post himself.
No further details on the star’s condition have been shared so far and it is unclear what kind of medical emergency Foxx has suffered from.
