Having Snoop Dogg by your side when you need him is a plus.
Actor and singer Jamie Foxx has revealed that he once asked his pal Snoop Dogg to intimidate his daughter’s boyfriend.
On Thursday, Foxx appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to discuss his newest book Act Like You Got Some Sense: And Other Things My Daughters Taught Me, and the moment he asked for Snoop’s assistance.
“What happened was my daughter – didn’t know that I had already ran a background check on her boyfriend—he comes to the crib, and Snoop happens to be there,” Foxx told Fallon. He then said that he told Snoop to shake “him [the boyfriend] up.”
Snoop walked up to Foxx’s daughter’s boyfriend and said, in part, “Hey, what’s up, what’s up cuz?... We her uncles, you know what I’m saying? So act accordingly, homie.”

Foxx continued to say that his goal was for the boyfriend to understand that his daughter has people around “who really love her, so that if something does go wrong, Snoop is coming.”
It’s not transparent as to which daughter Foxx was referring to in the interview, but it may have been the boyfriend of his eldest daughter, Corinne, 27.
Foxx also has a younger daughter, Anelise, who just turned 13.
Corinne Foxx is an actress, producer, and model who has worked alongside her notable father on numerous projects, including Dad Stop Embarrassing Me, a new Netflix sitcom.
When she was younger, she also made a cameo appearance on Foxx’s sitcom, The Jamie Foxx show, which ran from 1996-2001, and she also was a co-host for his musical game series Beat Shazam which is streaming on Hulu.
