Jamie Foxx's daughter has confirmed that the Hollywood actor is "recuperating" after being discharged from hospital.
The 55-year-old supposedly experienced a "medical complication" while working on his upcoming Netflix film, Back In Action. Corinne shared a statement at the time, telling fans about the medical issue.
"We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday.
"Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers," the statement read in addition. "The family asks for privacy during this time."
Last month it was revealed that Jamie had "experienced a medical complication", with recent reports saying that his family are "preparing for the worst".
Corinne shared a statement via her Instagram Stories alongside a snap of her father.
She wrote: "My dad has has been out of the hospital for weeks recuperating.
"In fact, he was playing pickelball yesterday! Thanks for everyone's prayers and support," Corinne added. "We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!"
The statement comes after fans believed that Corinne hinted that Jamie was taking "baby steps" to recovery following his hospitalisation.
Sharing an advert that the pair star in, she typed the caption: “First he’s learning how to sync his phone with his #IntelEvo laptop, next thing you know he’ll be editing photos all by himself.
"Baby steps, @iamjamiefoxx. Baby steps. #ProudDaughter".
One fan took to the comments to share their speculation, writing: "Could his status be in her message? Baby steps. Prayers,"
A series of fans replied, adding: "That’s the first thing came to my mind," "I was thinking the same thing" and “I definitely believe so."
Last week, Jamie's condition was said to have improved, with sources claiming doctors are doing more tests before allowing him to leave and have advised him to "keep his stress level down".
"Jamie is stable and not in a life-threatening situation now," the source told People. "[Doctors] are doing more tests and want to be completely sure that he will be okay before allowing him to leave the hospital."
Reports shared that Jamie is "healing" and "feeling the love" from all of his supporters and well wishers.
Details on Jamie's situation have remained under wraps, but an insider told Radar that doctors were trying to "get to the bottom of his problems."
They added at the time: "He wouldn’t be in a hospital this long if he was anything close to OK.
"He’s very lucky he got the treatment he did. His friends and family are hoping for the best — but preparing for the worst!"
